About Us
Welcome to Edenred UAE! Let us tell you our story and what we're all about.
Since 2008, we've been working to make life better for people who come to the UAE chasing their dreams. We call these amazing people our Champions, because that's exactly what they are. They've left everything familiar behind to build better lives for their families – and we're here to help them succeed.
It all started when the UAE government stepped forward to protect workers' rights by creating the Wage Protection System (WPS). They had a clear goal: make sure everyone gets paid fairly and on time, especially people without bank accounts. We were proud to become the very first company authorized by the Ministry of Labour and UAE Central Bank to process salaries through WPS.
Back then, getting paid was often complicated and risky – imagine carrying your whole month's salary in cash. We changed that by giving people C3Pay Mastercard payroll cards. Suddenly, they could use their cards at any shop or ATM worldwide. It was safer, easier, and opened up a whole new world of possibilities.
But we knew we could do more. In 2016, we did some research and discovered something interesting: 78% of our cardholders had smartphones, and 91% were regularly sending money back to their families. That's when we decided to launch the C3Pay mobile app, making us the first payroll provider to offer mobile services in the UAE. That’s when we became more than just a way to get paid – we became a way to make the most of their hard-earned money.
We've grown into something much bigger than a payroll company. We get to know our Champions by meeting them where they live, understanding their challenges, and creating solutions that actually work for them. We show people how to use our C3Pay app to manage their money wisely. We teach money-saving tricks and we're adding new features to help our Champions manage their money and support their families back home more easily.
What makes us different? We listen. Every change in our app comes from conversations with our Champions. They tell us what they need, and we make it happen. Want to send money home? We partnered with RAKBANK to make it simple and affordable. Need to access emergency cash? We've got that too. Worried about online scams? We've built some of the strongest security features around, because we know the UAE faces some of the highest cybercrime rates globally.
