Main Responsibilities
Edenred is a fast-growing fintech in the UAE. In line with group values, the FinCrime - Risk & Fraud Team Lead is responsible for leading and strengthening the organization’s financial crime compliance and risk management framework, with a particular emphasis on AML/CFT, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance within the financial services and fintech sectors.
This role oversees transaction screening for fraud prevention, ensuring effective detection and escalation of suspicious activities. The Team Manager will drive the creation, monitoring, and periodic audit of transaction monitoring rules, ensuring they remain effective and aligned with evolving regulatory requirements and business needs. Responsibilities include guiding the transaction monitoring team, conducting regular risk assessments, and preparing and submitting regulatory reports. The position requires advanced analytical and investigative skills, deep knowledge of regulatory reporting, and proficiency in using transaction monitoring and reporting tools.
Strong communication skills, the ability to interpret and apply complex financial regulations, and experience working in multicultural, technology-driven environments are essential for success in this role.
Required Skills & Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Advanced degrees (such as a Master’s in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field) are often preferred but not always mandatory.
- Professional certifications are highly valued and may include:
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS)
- ICA Advanced Certificate in Managing Fraud or Financial Crime
- Other relevant risk, compliance, or audit certifications
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in compliance, risk management within the financial services industry and reputable fintech in the region.
- In-depth knowledge and practice of AML/CFT and Transaction Monitoring.
- In-depth knowledge and practice of Fraud Prevention.
- In-depth knowledge and practice risk management.
- In-depth understanding in regulatory reporting.
- In-depth understanding of technologies enabled financial services (FINTECH)
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply financial regulations
- Proficiency in using transaction monitoring and reporting tools and templates
- Able to monitor and support transaction monitoring team in identifying suspicious activities.
- Conduct regular risk assessments
- Experience in preparing and submitting regulatory reports
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team with a multi-cultural background.
- Fluency in English
