The UAE Context
Edenred UAE is a fast-growing payroll service provider serving more than 15,000 businesses and more than 2.2 million unbanked employees. We service over 10 banks and 35 financial institutions.
We offer a unique value proposition for companies to manage their payroll, and for employees to receive their salaries and use them in the simplest way — through multiple value-added services in our mobile app (money transfer, mobile recharge, card services and more).
The Role
Most of our users receive their salary on a card we issue, send money home through our app, and pay for their week with a product our team built. For a large share of them, we are their first and only financial relationship. That raises the stakes on every decision — and makes this one of the more interesting product jobs in the region.
You will own product strategy and delivery for a product area inside an organisation that has the autonomy of a startup and the reach of a multinational. You set direction for your area, shape its strategy, and make day-to-day calls that are demonstrably aligned to a clear product vision — with the coaching and air cover to get it right.
Depending on where the business needs you most, you might begin in financial crime and compliance — making onboarding fast without weakening controls, catching fraud earlier, turning regulatory requirements into changes engineering can actually build. Or you might begin on the consumer side — remittance, cards, wallet, lending — working acquisition, activation, retention and monetisation problems for 2.2 million people.
The PMs who do best here are the ones who can hold a regulatory constraint and a growth funnel in their head at the same time.
Responsibilities
Own a product area. Identify the levers and problems that matter, build a now / next / later roadmap you can defend against real resource constraints, and treat company resources as your own.
Set and evangelise a vision. Make sure your decisions and your squad's decisions stay aligned to it, and that everyone can explain the “why” without you in the room.
Lead discovery. Decide independently what to ask and who to ask, know when research is and isn't needed, and turn what you learn into decisions rather than decks.
De-risk deliberately. Define the riskiest assumptions behind an initiative, prioritise them, and pick the right test for each — balancing speed against certainty instead of defaulting to trial and error.
Use data properly. Judge which metrics matter, read experiment results honestly, and make confident scale-or-pivot calls. You self-serve across Excel, CleverTap and SQL.
Ship with engineering. Write crisp PRDs, mitigate feasibility risk early, hold the bar on specifications, and clear blockers before they bite.
Drive outcomes, not output. Take initiatives, objectives and key results to completion on time, and be honest about what moved and what didn't.
Work the room. Frame ambiguous problems, facilitate strong problem-solving discussions, manage stakeholder expectations, and pull in senior leaders when that's what unblocks the outcome.
Communicate top-down. Present a cohesive narrative to data, design, engineering and senior business audiences, and make the trade-offs legible.
Stay close to a unique customer. Our users are underbanked, often first-time app users, sending money to families across several corridors. Every decision comes back to what they're trying to achieve.
Your Skills
3+ years in product management - with a track record of independently owning a product or product area and shipping.
Evidence you moved the numbers - KPIs and OKRs that mattered, not just features that launched.
Range - Comfort operating in a regulated environment and appetite for consumer growth problems. Experience in payments, fintech, fraud, compliance or high-scale consumer products is a plus, not a requirement.
Strong analytical instincts - You can set sensible thresholds, spot risk in data, size an opportunity, and check whether something is actually working.
Technical fluency - Enough to discuss APIs, automation and trade-offs with engineers and be taken seriously.
Excellent organisation, judgment and attention to detail - you can operate without direction.
Communication and influence - You drive consensus, articulate recommendations and trade-offs to senior executives, and write specs engineers can build from without guessing.
Beyond the craft, we care a lot about how you work:
Ownership — you take responsibility for outcomes, speak up when something looks wrong, and follow through on what you commit to.
Collaboration — you listen actively, build trust across teams, and bring people along rather than pushing work over the wall.
Problem solving — creative and structured, using both data and judgment to land on an answer.
Drive — proactive and entrepreneurial; you clear your own obstacles and ask for help early when you're stuck.
Curiosity — genuinely interested in users, and in how the product works under the hood.
Senior candidates will also be expected to coach and mentor junior product managers, review their work, and contribute to hiring.
Who You Will Work With
Reporting to: Product Lead / Senior Product Manager, depending on the area you join.
Working with: Engineering, Design, Data, Compliance, Financial Crime, Marketing, Operations, Customer Support, and product managers across the business.
Why Edenred?
You will not be the eleventh PM on a mature product in a crowded market. You will own high-visibility initiatives end-to-end, from problem definition to measurable business outcome, on a platform that has a direct, visible effect on the financial lives of millions of people.
If that sounds like your kind of problem, apply.
