The UAE CONTEXT
Edenred UAE is a fast growing payroll service provider serving more than 15,000 business and more than 2.2 million unbanked employees. We service over 10 banks and 35 financial institutions. We offer a unique value proposition for companies to manage their payroll and for employees to receive their salaries and use it in the simplest way offering multiple value added services via our mobile app (money transfer, mobile recharge and card services).
THE ROLE
As a People Operations Associate, you’ll be the first point of contact for employees throughout their journey with us, from pre‑boarding to off‑boarding. You’ll handle day‑to‑day HR operations, ensure full compliance with UAE labor legislation, and partner closely with our PRO, Finance, and IT teams, and external resource providers, and play a key role in payroll administration, people-related budgeting, and workforce management. This role is ideal for an HR professional who loves process excellence, has a strong service mindset, strong attention to detail, and thrives in a multicultural environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll & Budget Administration
Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with UAE Labour Law and internal policies.
Prepare and validate payroll inputs, including new joiners, leavers, salary changes, allowances, deductions, bonuses, commission payments, and leave adjustments.
Ensures timely payroll payments and reconciliation.
Support payroll-related reporting, audits, and documentation.
Maintain accurate employee compensation records within HR systems.
Support annual people budgeting, workforce planning, and monthly salary cost tracking.
Monitor and report on payroll costs, headcount movements, and people-related expenses.
Provide payroll and compensation data to support business and management reporting.
Pre‑boarding & On‑boarding
Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience.
Collect and verify employment documentation and maintain employee files in accordance with internal policies and data privacy requirements.
Coordinate onboarding activities with hiring managers, IT, Finance, and external resource providers where applicable.
Liaise with the UAE PRO to facilitate visa processing, work permits, Emirates ID applications, and other onboarding requirements.
Prepare employee records and HR system updates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Employee Support
Serve as the primary HR point of contact, providing timely and professional support to employee queries.
Prepare and issue HR-related documentation, including employment certificates, salary certificates, NOCs, and visa-related letters.
Support employees with HR policies, benefits, leave, and employee lifecycle processes.
Ensure a positive employee experience through responsive and solution-oriented support.
Visas & Immigration
Manage employee visa and immigration processes, working closely with the UAE PRO and relevant government authorities.
Drive end-to-end Visa applications for employees.
Monitor visa, Emirates ID, labor card, and employment contract expiries, ensuring timely renewals and full compliance.
Support employees with immigration-related queries and documentation requirements.
Maintain accurate records of all immigration activities and ensure compliance with applicable UAE regulations.
Benefits Administration
Manage end-to-end employee benefits administration, including medical insurance enrolments, amendments, claims, and deletions.
Reconcile monthly insurance invoices and maintain accurate employee benefit records.
Act as the main point of contact for benefit-related queries and escalations.
Identify opportunities to enhance employee benefits based on employee feedback and business needs.
Off‑boarding
Manage the end-to-end offboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition and compliance with company requirements.
Coordinate asset collection, system access deactivation, visa cancellations, and employee exit documentation.
Prepare final settlement instructions and support payroll processing for departing employees.
Coordinate with Finance, IT, the PRO, and external resource providers to ensure all offboarding activities are completed on time.
Maintain accurate offboarding records and support exit reporting and audits as required.
Compliance & Policy
Ensure HR policies and procedures remain compliant with UAE Labour Law and applicable Free Zone regulations.
Maintain accurate, confidential, and audit-ready employee records and documentation.
Support internal and external audits by providing required HR information and documentation.
Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the continuous enhancement of People Operations practices.
YOUR PROFILE
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or any equivalent required.
Professional experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR Operations, People Operations, HR Administration, or a similar role.
Strong hands-on experience managing end-to-end payroll processing.
Experience supporting payroll budgeting, salary cost tracking, and people-related reporting.
Solid grasp of UAE Labour Law, free-zone regulations, and visa processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in handling multiple HR functions, including employee lifecycle management, employee relations, payroll, and benefits administration.
Proficiency in HR systems, preferably Workday.
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to work with payroll data, reports, and budgets.
Well versed in UAE Labour Laws.
